THE ADAPTIVE GALLERY
This project was a proposal for the extension of the AGNSW. It consists of a re-imagining of the gallery, Its experience and operation. My proposal aims to create a fully adaptive gallery, allowing full flexibility in terms of exhibition space and performance. It also aims to provide an interactive space, encouraging exploration from visitors and providing new experiences with each visit. The proposal consists of a reworking of an existing grid seen in a nearby carpark set as the site. This grid will be utilised to create a series of ground plane modules which rise and fall, constantly transforming areas, allowing and restricting circulation and hiding and revealing artwork.
