BEACHES TIMBER BRAND
Beaches Timber is a Northern Beaches’ timber mill, providing a range of locally sourced hardwoods to builders and the public. Rather than use timber harvested from rainforests, the mill’s lumber is solely sourced from regional purposefully felled trees. Respect is given to the rich history of these trees by resourcefully recycling what is otherwise considered waste, sustainably processing them into usable slabs and lumber. The Brand’s visual identity and website were developed to reflect this mission and to communicate the core values of the business. Warm and earthy tones were used and natural softer forms were utilised when developing the circular saw/tree brandmark to demonstrate a distinction from an industry regularly viewed as destructive. An immersive and playful website was also designed and developed for Beaches timber, utilising engaging transitions, animations and responsive elements.
